Carinity Shalom has been part of the Rockhampton community for 20 years. Shalom sits in a prime location in North Rockhampton overlooking a picturesque lagoon filled with an abundance of river wildlife and birds. Our residents love the natural lagoon and its birds, turtles and river wildlife provide a peaceful environment for all who live here.
Since 1985, we’ve been providing high quality care for older people in Rockhampton and surrounds. Over that time, we’ve developed our community pavilion and multipurpose centre to ensure there is always something to see or do, such as crafts, bowls, board games and concerts.
A love of the outdoors is something many Rockhampton residents share, and it’s no different for our community at Shalom. Our popular walking trails alongside the lagoon are dotted with seating to rest and enjoy the view and local birdlife. A barbeque and gazebo beside the lagoon are popular for family events and celebrations – and we love a good celebration here at Shalom! Forget your thoughts of what a ‘nursing home’ is like – at Shalom, there’s always something to keep you social, active and engaged.
We also offer retirement lifestyle living onsite, enabling couples to remain connected if one partner requires a higher level of care. We offer permanent residential aged care, dementia specific and respite care at Carinity Shalom.
