Our People
The strength of our organisation, our values, and our purpose is embodied through our people.
Our Governance
Carinity is an outreach of Queensland Baptists. As such, the Board of Queensland Baptists is the governing body for all Carinity operations.
The Queensland Baptists Board has appointed a Carinity Council to assist in overseeing Carinity’s operations. The Council is responsible for ensuring Carinity’s compliance, financial sustainability, risk management and making recommendations to the Queensland Baptist Board on the organisation’s strategic direction.
Our Employees
Every day we see our dedicated staff making a difference in people’s lives. The compassionate and expert care Carinity delivers is only possible because of the high quality of people who work for us.
We now have over 1,400 employees across Queensland delivering vital services to people in need. This includes the areas of aged care, retirement living, education, family counselling, domestic violence prevention, mental health, youth accommodation and community support.
Our Volunteers
Carinity’s volunteers are invaluable. They give unmeasurable support to the communities they work in and our organisation is immensely grateful.
Our 200 volunteers across Queensland freely give of their time, energy and experience to support a wide range of activities for people who choose Carinity. They are an integral part of the organisation through their friendship, experience and connections within communities. The hard work and commitment of volunteers is especially appreciated.
We recognise the hard work and dedication of the unsung heroes of Carinity at special Thank You High Teas.
Del Baxter, who has devoted herself to creating beautiful gardens at the Carinity Kepnock Grove seniors’ community, was named the 2019 Volunteer of the Year. Del is motivated to give back because of the wonderful care her late husband received at Carinity.
“I wanted to do something to repay them for looking after Reg, they were so nice to him and I wouldn’t have had him go anywhere else.”

2019 Carinity Volunteer of the Year, Del Baxter.
