There are many loves in Anton’s life – the Cronulla-Sutherland Sharks, the gym and cooking.
Anton gets the chance to do all of these things and more at Carinity. With the many choices of social support Anton has become an integral part of the Boonah community.
“I go swimming and to the gym and I always make sure everyone has their tips in for the footy,” he says. “I also get to cook at the weekly barbeque every Friday.”
While Anton describes his barbeque role as “onion specialist”, he certainly does more than that. He goes shopping at the local supermarket with a Carinity worker and collects the buns donated by the bakery. Anton is also part of the clean-up crew after the community barbeque is done.
“I also help with the cooking for the carers and families’ morning tea we hold on the third Wednesday of the month,” he says.
