Prayer Guide

Following the example of Jesus Christ, reflecting God’s love, creating community, making a difference.

This prayer guide has been created to unite us in prayer so that together we can pray for the thousands of people within Carinity that we care for, serve, educate and support across Queensland.

Carinity

We believe God has called us to care—one person at a time. Over the years, that calling has expanded, and today, we have the privilege of serving thousands of people every day.

With around 1,600 dedicated staff and volunteers, we provide spiritual support, guidance, and compassionate care across schools, residential aged care, home care, youth services, prisons, hospitals, housing, counselling, community outreach, and chaplaincy.

At Carinity, love in action is at the heart of everything we do.

Praying

At Carinity, we believe in the power of prayer. Through united prayer, we trust that God will reveal His plans and bring Kingdom purpose into every area of our work.

Your prayers are vital, and we know that every moment spent seeking Jesus, that every turn towards Him is a step toward victory. Thank you for standing with us—let’s pray together in faith!

Our Prayer

Heavenly Father,

We thank You for the calling You have placed on Carinity—to care, to serve, and to bring hope in Your name.

Lord, we ask for Your presence to fill every space where Carinity reaches: in schools, aged care homes, prisons, hospitals, homes, and communities. May each person we serve experience Your love, comfort, and restoration.

Bless the staff and volunteers who pour their hearts into this work. Strengthen them when they are weary, guide them in wisdom, and fill them with compassion that reflects Your heart. May they be Your hands and feet, shining Your light in every interaction.

Lord, we pray for those in need—the elderly, the vulnerable, the lonely, the struggling. Meet them where they are. Bring healing where there is sickness, peace where there is anxiety, and hope where there is despair. May Carinity always be a place where Your presence is known and Your love is felt.

We believe in the power of prayer, Lord, and we trust that through united prayer, You will lead us, provide for us, and reveal the next steps for Your Kingdom work. Let every decision, every act of service, and every word spoken be done for Your glory.

We commit this ministry to You, Jesus, knowing that You are the one who transforms lives. May we continue to walk in faith, trusting in Your goodness and grace.

Residential Aged Care

Father, we bring each aged care home before You. May Your presence fill every room, bringing comfort, peace, and love to every resident. Bless the staff with patience and strength as they serve. Let these homes be places of joy, kindness, and dignity. May Your Spirit bring healing where there is pain, companionship where there is loneliness, and eternal hope to every heart.

Home Care

Lord, we pray for the carers who visit homes across these regions. Fill them with compassion and energy as they support those in need. May every home they enter be touched by Your peace. Strengthen those receiving care—grant them good health, meaningful connections, and the assurance that they are deeply loved and never alone.

Retirement Living

God, we ask for Your blessing on these retirement communities. May they be filled with laughter, deep friendships, and a sense of belonging. Let every resident find purpose and joy in this season of life. Provide good health, strong community bonds, and a renewed sense of Your presence every day.

Community Services

Father, for those working in disability care, counselling, chaplaincy, and social support—may they be Your hands and feet. Give them wisdom and patience as they serve. Let every person they assist know their worth and be empowered to live fully. Where there is struggle, bring breakthrough. Where there is isolation, bring connection. Where there is discouragement, bring hope.

Chaplaincy

Lord, bless the chaplains ministering in schools, hospitals, aged care, and prisons. Fill them with courage and discernment as they walk alongside those in need. May their words bring life, healing, and a deeper understanding of Your love. Strengthen them when the work is hard and refresh them in Your presence.

Education

God, we pray for every student, teacher, and staff member in these schools. May these be places of growth, safety, and inspiration. Fill the classrooms with wisdom, creativity, and kindness. Protect the students, guide the teachers, and let these schools be a light in their communities. May each young life be shaped by Your truth and love.
