Resident Visits & Outings

Restricted visits to Carinity aged care sites

Carinity operates in line with any Queensland Government restrictions that may be in place from time to time.

Exemptions apply if the visit is for the purposes of an end of life visit for a resident.

To learn more about any current restrictions, please visit the Queensland Government website.

If you have an urgent need to visit on compassionate grounds, please contact the relevant aged care site.

Resident Visitors & Outings

Where Government requirements allow visitors, there are some additional steps involved in visiting your friends and family at Carinity aged care communities. These processes are in place to protect the health and safety of our residents.

Resident Visits – on site

In order to maintain safe social distancing in our communities, if you are visiting a friend or loved one you will need to make a booking using our online booking system. You will also be required to show evidence of a current influenza vaccination before enterring a Carinity community.

Resident Outings, Medical Appointments & Social Engagements

If you are taking your friend or family member away from a Carinity community, you will need to complete a risk assessment prior to departing.

As part of the COVID-19 requirements for aged care providers, a risk assessment must be completed each time a resident leaves an aged care facility. The purpose of which, is to help ensure the on-going safety of all residents living at the facility. This risk assessment can either be completed online or completed at each Carinity aged care community before leaving.

Please note, some activities associated with the risk assessment process still need to occur at site just prior to leaving the facility. We would ask that sufficient time to complete this activity is factored into your plans as residents will not be permitted to commence their outing without having completed the risk assessment process.

Completing this risk assessment online before arriving at the facility will greatly reduce the time needed at the facility prior to leaving on your proposed outing.
