Counselling Services & Family Support

Modern families face a number of pressures that can cause extra stress in their daily lives. In times of great stress and crisis, Carinity assists families and young people in need by offering counselling, parenting support and referral services. We offer support to strengthen vulnerable individuals and families to get through difficult times.

Carinity has a variety of support services across Queensland available to address a variety of issues facing families and young people.

Child & Youth Counselling

We provide counselling to children and young people who are at risk of entering or re-entering the child safety system. This early intervention program aims to improve the safety of children, young people and their families.

Child Protection

Counselling, support and assistance to young people who are experiencing difficulties in relation to child abuse, trauma, neglect and/or family violence.

Adolescent Wellness Program

Counselling services to adolescents, young adults and their families or caregivers, supporting a range of challenges including anxiety, depression, school issues and relationship problems.

Individual Counselling

Dealing with stress, anxiety or depression can feel like a heavy burden to carry. Our counsellors can assist you in the treatment of mental health issues, teach life skills and coping strategies or refer you to specialist treatment.

Family & Couple’s Counselling

Our counselling services will help you work through a range of issues impact couples and families’ ability to function, including conflict, parenting skills, separation and divorce, drug and alcohol abuse, anger management, and grief and loss.

Better Parenting Program

Being a parent can be an overwhelming experience as children don’t come with an instruction manual. Learn new skills to improve the lives of your entire family.

Community Centre & Meeting Spaces

A strong sense of community can make all the difference in rural and regional areas. As a social hub, they are a place where people new to the district can learn what is available and be assisted to connect with services. Carinity have two Community Centres in Brisbane South and Boonah.
