Carinity Education are delighted to be continuing the operation of Shalom Christian College, catering for students from Prep to Year 8.
Situated in the Townsville suburb of Condon, 15km south-west of Townsville town centre, Shalom Christian College is an independent, co-educational school, designed to provide a culturally safe and supportive learning environment for students from the Townsville community.

Shalom Christian College promotes a school wide positive behaviour framework to drive student success in a welcoming, safe and supportive environment.
At Shalom the curriculum plans and assessment cater for all students from Prep – Year 8, as outlined by Australian Curriculum, Assessment and Reporting Authority (ACARA) and the Queensland Curriculum & Assessment Authority (QCAA). Within this curriculum there is a very clear focus on literacy and numeracy.
Shalom’s curriculum provides a balanced approach ensuring learning is in a supportive environment, meeting the emotional and creative needs of the individual child.
The Prep education program provides students with firm foundations. The program provides a holistic approach to the development of each child – spiritually, academically, socially, physically and emotionally – in a safe and supportive environment. The curriculum has a strong focus on literacy.
Shalom aims to provide a range of extra support services focused on assisting families, as well as maintaining the health and well-being of students and families. These services include:
- Breakfast daily for all students
- Bus transport offered to families within Townsville area
- Specific programs to develop proactive student behaviours & build positive relationships
- Supportive school environment for students, families and staff
Shalom provides a free education to every child.
A resource charge of $25 per term is payable for all stationery and learning resources.
