Thank you David Angell

In March last year, David Angell was called to come out of retirement to lead Carinity for a few months while a new Chief Executive Officer was sourced.

The role involved taking charge of some 1,600 staff and volunteers across such diverse sectors as aged care, retirement living, home care, education, counselling and youth services.

Added to that was the complexity of acute staff shortages, fast-changing government controls, funding shortfalls and emerging from the COVID-19 pandemic.

David accepted the role with a strong conviction that God had called him to serve at what was a particularly difficult time in the Carinity story.

Following a number of extensions, David’s initial few months as CEO became 14. He finished with Carinity in May this year when Kevin Griffiths was permanently appointed to the role.

The Carinity Council, Executive Team and staff thank David for the difference he has made at Carinity during his tenure. His faith, integrity and skills have inspired us and provided a blueprint for servant leadership.
