A big turnout for first “Airing”
With over 500 people attending the first Airing of the Quilts event at Carinity Lifestyle – Kepnock Grove, the future of the event looks to be sealed.
Event Coordinator Emma Sugget said she had people coming up to her with suggestions for ‘next year’ within the first hour of the event.
“Now that people have seen what the event looks like I think we’re going to have even more interest for next year,” she said.
“Our vision is to be a major event in the Bundaberg community but we still have a long way to go.”
“We could not have made this happen without the great support from the Kepnock Grove Community, the Bundaberg Quilters Association, Bundaberg U3A, the Friends of Kepnock, Bundaberg Sunrise Rotary, Bundaberg Baptist Church, Just Rock Bundaberg, Bundy Flukes, Mariposa Cultural Folk Dancers, Arts Beads and Craft, Betta Home Living, Bundaberg Camerahouse, Arts Plus and Impact Community Services.”
Carinity are accepting expressions of interest for next year’s event. For more information phone 07 3550 3769 or email marketing@carinity.org.au.
